Rafael Gonzalez Moreno
Rafael Gonzales Moreno was born in Den Haag (Holland) and was brought up and naturalized Argentinean. He studied drawing with Hermenegildo Sabat and painting with Tito Perez, in Buenos Aires during the seventies. He also studied graphic design in Malmö at Amu Hadar Media Tiden, Sweden. He lived in USA, Spain and Sweden where he stayed for 16 years and was involved in cultural and social politic and elected as county councilman in 2001-2005 in Olofström.
In the 80´s he received the Amalia Fortabat Award for Young Artists and Sala Gaspar (Barcelona) bought all his works created between 1987-1989. During the 90´s he exhibited in many galleries in Sweden, Svart och Vitt, Gertel & Olsson, Karavaka and Lagan. In 2006 he settled back in Buenos Aires where he has had many individual and group shows since then. He participated in “Cow Parade Buenos Aires” with the sponsorship of Tetra Pack. He was represented in the last two editions of ArteBA fair in Buenos Aires by Braga Menéndez and Appetite galleries. In 2007 he showed his works at the Centro Cultural Borges, “Ciudad Segura” with artists Kuki Benski and Hugo Marti. He also participated in two group shows organized by Expansive Link: “Diverse Works”, in Houston, TX and “Buenos Aires Art” at Eyestorm Gallery, in London. Showed and worked with Teresa anchorena gallery,Now days he is artist of Rubbers international
His works belong to important private and public collections in Argentina and abroad.
